C.R.E.A.T.E. June workshops
I know many Bio-Link instructors already use scientific papers in the classroom, but if you would like to learn more about ways other instructors use these resources, as well as learn more about the C.R.E.A.T.E strategy for transforming undergraduate biology education, there are two interesting workshops this summer at Hobart and William Smith colleges in Geneva, NY.
Session 1 will be held June 11-15th
Session 2 will be June 18-22.
Each workshop will run Monday through Thursday, 8AM – 5PM; Friday 8 AM – 12PM).
Applications are invited from science faculty at two and four year institutions; postdoctoral fellows are welcome to apply if teaching in the academic year following the workshop. All expenses, except travel, will be covered by our NSF grant. Further details and an application can be found at www.teachcreate.org.
The application deadline is January 15, 2012.
