Medical Devices Certificate

A medical device is a product that can be used to diagnose a medical condition, a product used in therapy, or a product used in surgery.  Examples of medical devices are artificial hearts, genetic tests, x-ray machines, blood sugar meters, home pregnancy tests, and tongue depressors.

In the United States, the production of medical devices is regulated by the FDA.

The Medical Devices certificate serves to familiarize students with the regulatory principles followed in medical device manufacturing.
