Paid training in a local research laboratory
Students who complete the Stem Cell Certificate program are eligible for the Stem Cell Internship Program. The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine has funded a $1.1 million grant supporting full time paid internships for City College students in Bay Area stem cell research laboratories. Total number of internship positions: 30 (10 interns/year over a 3 year period)
Duration of each internship:6 months full time Stipend:$2500/mo
The intern must also be enrolled as a full time CCSF student, and take the required Stem Cell internship course (BTEC 21D) concurrently. To be eligible to apply, you must have successfully completed your Stem Cell Technology certificate courses by the start of the internship.
