Shoreline Community College
Shoreline Community College has been offering degrees in biotechnology for the past twenty years and has been a Bio-Link program and regional center since 2001.
The Biotechnology Laboratory Specialist Program will prepare you for work in a wide variety of laboratory settings. The curriculum is broad, offering a foundation in a number of math and science disciplines including algebra, statistics, chemistry, biology, microbiology and computer science. Through classroom lectures and hands-on laboratory learning experiences, you will gain a working knowledge of molecular biology, recombinant DNA, immunology, protein purification and tissue culture. Shoreline offers a 2 year AAAS degree for students new to science and a 1-year certificate program for students with a Bachelor's or advanced degree looking to increase their laboratory skills.
