Educating Technicians for Future Industry Needs

This report is from a conference that took place in April 2008, sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the American Association of Community Colleges.

Educators and industry personnel traveled from diverse points throughout the US to talk about technician education in emerging areas such as

biotechnology, nanotechnology, and biomicroelectromechanical systems. This report summarizes panel discussions and employer presentations.
