Responsibilities: |
Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a research associate with previous purification experience to work in partnership with a vaccine development company in the Sanford, NC area. The selected individual will work with a drug discovery and development team in the production-scale, GMP, Vaccine Development facility. This is an excellent opportunity to develop the skills needed for success in the biomanufacturing industry!
This is currently at least a 12 month contract position requiring availability for rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) as needed. Shift differentials are included. Excellent performance may lead to long-term opportunities.
General requirements include purification, GMP (cGMP), and experimental batching experience. The incumbent must be able to recognize unique differences among multiple vaccine antigen candidate processes and contribute to the scientific team. Delta V experience is a definite plus!
Responsibilities will include:
- Equipment and automation refinement
- Specification adjustment
- Technical writing
- Bench testing (spectrophotometer, pH meter)
- Microbial/gram staining

Qualifications: |
Experience with the following process equipment preferred:
- Fixed and portable vessels
- CIP, SIP and cleaning verification operations
- Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) skids
- Chromatography column skid
Experience:
Qualified candidates will have a B.S. or M.S. in Biology or related field, plus 2+ years purification and GMP experience.
Emerson Delta V software experience is a definite plus.
