Work Experience
Internship -- Pravara Rural University, Loni India
As a part of my Post Graduate studies, I worked on a project on “Anti Cancer Activity of a Compound Camptothecin” which is derived from a plant. This project included the screening of different plant parts of a plant called Camptotheca nimmoniana for an anticancer compound called camptothecin. The plant parts that were tested were the leaves stem and seedlings and a comparative study on the amount of camptothecin produced was studied and thereby tested on a cancerous cells by performing Animal Tissue Culture Techniques.

Internship at Haffkins Institute for Training Research & Testing, India
Course: -- On Job Training “ conducted by the Department of Clinical Pathology, Virology & Zoonoses.
We worked on various test to diagnose certain virus related diseases. Performed tests like ELISA and worked on certain techniques like Western Blot. We also did PCR analysis of certain genes of certain diseases.

Internship at Padmashree Institute of Information Sciences, Bangalore, India

Course: Diploma in Plant Tissue Culture & Secondary Metabolite Production. We preformed various Plant Tissue Culture techniques. We also practiced Callus cultures and were in the primary stages of culturing genetically engineered plants.

Seminars
I attended a seminar conducted by Prof. V.C. Vivekanandan which was on Patents Law. He talked about the Patents Law and described the global perspective of it.

Assignments
As a part of my assignment I researched antigen specific T-cell immunity. As a completion of this work I presented a paper published on 9th March 2005 by Proceeding of National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) of USA. The authors Lili Yang and David Baltimore mentioned about the long term in -- vivo provision of antigen-specific T-cell immunity by programming hematopoietic stem cells.
