Biotechnology Skills:
Cell and Tissue culture: Hands on experience in growing various kinds of cell lines, cancer cell lines, endothelial cell lines, anchorage dependent cell lines, preparation of primary cell lines (from chicken embryo cells), Aseptic growth of bacterial cultures ( a special attention to work with pathogenic cultures), Cytotoxic assays to evaluate the toxic effects of anticancer drugs and drug- carrier systems containing the respective drug being applied
Cell biology: Cell staining and visualization, Gram staining and biochemical characterization of bacterial cultures into the different family of strains, immunohistochemistry
Biochemistry: One and two-dimensional electrophoresis ( Agarose gel electrophoresis and SDS- PAGE) . Immunoprecipitation, blotting (Northern, Southern and western Blotiing), ELISA.
Molecular Biology: DNA isolation and purification (from plant and animal sources ), Vector ( Plasmid) isolation, Cloning, PCR Amplification of DNA
