Objective:
I am currently a graduating senior earning a Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology. Last August I ran for the upper-division senatorial seat in the Associated Student Corporation and my fervor for student advocacy became affirmed. As an elected official I have worked diligently to advocate for meaningful programs that enhance school spirit and promote our institutions education-driven culture. I feel that it is every student’s responsibility to assume an active role in the betterment of their community. In addition, I am currently working with the Academics Affairs Committee to develop legislation to promote effective teaching strategies in the class room, to enhance instructor accountability by implementing mid-semester reviews, and to ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to pursue higher education within the university. I would like to obtain a position in a Biotech company which will allow me to grow as a scientist and as a leader. I plan to ob tain an MBA or PhD within the next five years. I would eventually like to apply my experience and expertise in assisting the board of directors with the day to day workings of the company.
