- Protein research & manipulation on different types of chromatography (HPLC & AKTA).
- Microbiological Technical skills.
- Optimization and Experimental design knowledge.
Work Experience:
i trained in Germany (Rhien GMBT) to supervise the production of drugs from genetically modified microorganism. My training goes through different procedures to write protocols, data analyze, and evaluation according to the registered regulations, SOPs and GMPs. As a supervisor for one year in Rhien minapharm pharmaceuticals in Egypt, i start practicing all what i experience during this training. As a researcher in different labs with different research groups, i acquired an excellent analysis and evaluation skills and experience. My Graduate studies (during my masters’ degrees) helped me to practice the presentation skills and being able to show most of my findings and debate my results. I was active enough to attend different conferences in Middle East, Germany, and the states. These enhance my communication skills and technical discussions.
i have three publications, two about gene cloning , protein purification, western Blot, and biochemical analysis and enzyme activity of uricase enzyme, and NsrR proteins. Uricase enzyme is clinically used an treatment for goat. Uricase gene identification from Pseudomonas aerogenousa was the first step of cloning, and over-expressing of this clinically and commercially important enzyme. Using different biochemical analysis and kinetic measurement i succeed to get more to know this enzyme. NsrR protein is the other anaerobically active protein which play a role in gene regulation in different pathogens (E.coli, B.subtilis,..). The success of the isolation and spectoscopically identification of this protein helps in understanding the mechanism of pathogenicity of these microorganisms, and also help in creating anti-bacterial drug. Also i was working on another protein (one of the NRPS) that works in the secondary metabolites production in marine microorganism. Using bioinformat ics tool, we succeed to identify all the gene clusters involved in the production of different anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-cancer drugs, and pigments.
