Clearinghouse - Subscribe

Welcome!

Contributors make their instructional materials available in the Bio-Link Clearinghouse because they want to provide a service to other educators and to students. The Contributors still own the materials that they post in the Bio-Link Clearinghouse and they have the right to later publish those materials commercially or to remove them from the Bio-Link Clearinghouse. It is important to respect the contributors rights and so we ask subscribers to read and agree to the following terms:

Subscribers Agreement: (review and scroll down for form)

  1. To subscribe, you must be an employee of a non-profit educational institution, and must use the Bio-Link materials in the scope of your employment to instruct your students.

  2. You may duplicate copies of materials obtained from theBio-Link Clearinghouse sufficient for every student in your classes. You may assemble these materials into a packet that is used for a course and is disseminated at cost to students enrolled in the course. It is acceptable to sell this packet through a campus bookstore.

  3. You may make transparencies of these materials for use in your classes.

  4. You may make these materials available to your students via a website for your course, but only if that website is password-protected.

  5. You may make minor revisions to Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials to accommodate the equipment and supplies available in your institution, to accommodate different length class periods, and to better match your teaching objectives.

  6. You agree not to sell or license Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials to anyone (unless the Contributor gives you special permission to do so). You do, however, have permission to charge students for photocopying costs.

  7. You agree not to incorporate illustrations from Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials into your own instructional materials (unless the Contributor gives you special permission to do so).

  8. You agree not to incorporate excerpts from Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials into your own materials, including but not limited to: books, textbooks, laboratory manuals, CD-ROMs, videos, software, laserdisks, reports, propaganda, or political materials (unless the Contributor gives you special permission to do so).

  9. You agree not to give copies of Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials to anyone other than your own students (unless the Contributor gives you special permission to do so)

  10. You agree not to use Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials that have been removed from the Clearinghouse inventory and catalog (unless the Contributor gives you special permission to do so). (This is because contributors still own the materials that they post in the Bio-Link Clearinghouse. They are giving limited permission to subscribers to use their materials for a specific purpose (instruction). Contributors have the right to later publish their materials commercially and to remove them from the Bio-Link Clearinghouse.)

  11. You agree not to hold Bio-Link or any of its agents responsible for any damages that occur through your use of the Bio-Link Clearinghouse materials - that's your responsibility.

  12. You agree not to hold Bio-Link or any of its agents responsible for inaccuracies or poor quality in the materials in the Clearinghouse. If you think you have found errors or want to suggest modifications it would be very helpful to let the author know.

  13. You agree to credit the author of any materials that you use.
