Operating Instructions

Set Up

  1. Plug the power cord into 120V, 20A electric outlet.

  2. Turn the handle on the lid counter clockwise until the lid is loose, then slide the lid horizontally to allow for water supply.

  3. Confirm that the fine exhaust knob on the control panel and the drainage valve in the front lower portion of the main unit is closed.

  4. Fill the chamber with water (tap, distilled, deionized, or RO) until the water level covers the metal strip (by about 1/8") across the middle hole of the round plate in the chamber (about 2 liters).

  5. Fill the plastic exhaust bottle in front of the autoclave with water to or above the minimum (LOW) level. Push the end of the exhaust hose in securely and mount bottle on the storage shelf, making sure that the exhaust hose is not bent.

  6. Make sure that the fine exhaust knob is turned clockwise all the way (exhaust valve is closed).

  7. Set the circuit breaker (CB) located on the lower back of the unit to the upper ON position.

  8. Place objects in the chamber for sterilization and turn the lid clockwise until the arm hits the arm stopper. Slowly turn the handle clockwise. As its turning gets tight, give an additional 3/4-one turn. Do not overtighten.

  9. Turn on the power switch on the right side of the unit. The power lamp and mode indicator will light and preset values will show on the temp/time indicators.
Mode Selection

Five preset mode programs can be accessed by pressing the MODE button sequentially; select the one called for in your protocol.

Mode One Sterilization: Slow Pulse Exhaust, Sterilization Temperature 121oC, Sterilization Time 15 min. Post-Warming at 50oC.

Mode Two Sterilization: Natural Cooling or Manual Exhaust, Sterilization Temperature 121oC, Sterilization Time 15 min. Post-Warming at 50oC.

Mode Three Sterilization: Slow Pulse Exhaust, Sterilization Temperature 121oC, Sterilization Time 20 minutes.

Mode Four Sterilization: Natural Cooling/Sterilization Temperature 121oC/Sterilization Time 20 min.

Mode Five Sterilization: Pre-Warming at 50oC.

Note: maximum warm time is fixed at 20 hours. However, sterilized objects can be taken out during this time whenever necessary.

Operation

  1. After rechecking that the exhaust and drainage valves are firmly closed, push the START button. A status indicator will light, showing the operation underway. The temperature indicator switches to the chamber temperature.

  2. During warming mode, objects may be taken out after pushing the STOP button and confirming that the pressure has returned to 0 kg per square cm G.

  3. When automatic operation is over, an electronic beep will sound three times.

  4. After confirming that the chamber pressure is lowered, loosen the handle to open lid. Remove sterilized objects.
Shut Down

After the day's use, switch the main unit to OFF. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period, set the circuit breaker to OFF and drain the chamber water.
