The 2012 Summer Fellows Forum is my first time attending a Bio-link conference. So far, so good. The workshops have been very interesting and I have enjoyed meeting others in Biotechnology education. While our program is going to be very different from many of those represented here, it still gives me hope to see these other programs. The Biotechnology program at South Central College is currently under development. We intend to offer an A.S. degree in Biotechnology. Due to requirements through the state of Minnesota, the program must be 100% transferable to a 4 year university in the state. We have worked with Minnesota State University at Mankato to develop such a program.
